Windows 2008 R2 Guest, vMMU enabled or disabled?

I'm trying to ascertain if hardware MMU is being used or not on some guests. THe hosts are runnng Xeon 7560 (45nm) processors and the guests are Windows 2008 R2 (x64 of course).

From what I can see from http://communities.vmware.com/docs/DOC-9882, this means that Shadow page tables are used instead of the EPT functionality when set to automatic. Is this correct? Is there a way to easily see what is actually being used on the virtual machine?

If you look for monitor modes inside of the vmware.log file for the guest OS you will see what is being used.    Check out the thread below for more information
