Win10 on ESXi6.5U2 suffering 5 x 10min boot timeouts with Event 129 LSI_SAS errors

Hi,

I know this is very left-field, but I'm currently experiencing these errors on a Win10 VM running on my ESXi6.5U2 server.

That's the latest version I can run as it has custom HP drivers for the HP N40L Microserver Gen8 I'm running it on.  Boot is fine before this, and then it goes into five of these LSI_SAS errors approximately 9 minutes apart, before finally reporting Event 98  Volume C: (\Device\HarddiskVolume2) is healthy.  No action is needed. and moving onto the next logical drive. With 4 drives, this takes 4 hours

.

I've rtied all sorts of things - the last I read was that HDD Powersave in the guest OS might be on (it was, and I turned it off), but no improvement. I wonder if anyone else has an idea of when Windows might have this kind of grumble with the ESXi virtual hardware?

Thanks!
