Win XP Pro SP2 won't boot without ISO mounted

Hello all,

I'm having a weird issue that someone hopefully can help me with. I did a fresh install of Windows XP Pro SP2 on the latest VMware Server ESXi. I've installed Server 2003/Linux guests no problem. When I installed XP Pro, I had to specify the drivers for the installation to detect the hard drive, no problem.

Now, whenever I reboot, I get a message saying the NTLDR is missing. I did a fixboot, but that didn't seem to help. Upon rebooting, I noticed the VM will boot just fine if the XP Pro ISO is mounted to the CDROM.

Has anyone run into this issue, or have any advice?

Thanks,

Daniel

I feel like an idiot. It has been so long since I've used a computer with a floppy drive, I didn't even think of it.

I had the drivers disk mounted in the floppy drive. When I disconnected it, the VM booted fine.
