We have 2 windows 2003 servers configured with SMTP service on IIS 6.0 in 2 different geographic locations.
These 2 servers are virtual machines on 2 different ESXi 5 clusters.
Messaging engineer want these 2 servers to be in a NLB cluster.
I am aware that NLB requires hosts in same subnet.
So a possibility of stretched VLAN accross datacenters is being explored with the network team.
I have found the following article but it relates to VI 3: - http://www.vmware.com/files/pdf/implmenting_ms_network_load_balancing.pdf.
Are there any other requirements for the NLB to work properly & is this setup possible?
