Dear Sir,
We met an issue below. Could you please tell me whether this issue is normal or not?
Step:
1. Connect to the host from supported VI Client.
2. Power on the VM.
3. In the Inventory panel, select the host on which the VM resides. Click the "Summary" tab; right click the name of the datastore containing the VM files, and select "Browse Datastore".
4. Right-click the VM name, and confirm that both "Remove from Inventory" and "Delete from Disk" options are grayed.
However, the "Delete from Disk" option is not gray out.
User could delete the file even VM is running and the HDD size won't increase. (but
could you be more clear of what is the issue?
If the question is 'will vCenter let you shoot yourself in the foot?', the answer is yes.

When a VM is running, we can delete the files of the VM from "Datastore Browser-[Storage1]".
Is that an issue?
Only if you do it (though I dont think it would actually manage to delete all the files - I think they would be locked).
Try it on a non critical VM.
