Why my ESXi4 reboot by itself ?

Hello everyone,

My ESX Server reboot by itself(+- every 2 days) and I don't know why.

I have :

- Dell PowerEdge R610

- ESXi 4 (intalled on a USB Drive)

- 2 x 146 GB SAS disk in RAID 1 (My datastore)

- 4 VM's running

- 2 power supply (but only one is connected)

I did an extended diagnostic on Dell and no problems were found.

I set up ESX to send his log to a syslog server.

The last logs were:

- Update: 72591 minutes left in eval period

- PersistAllDvsInfo called

- Ticket issued for CIMOM version 1.0, user root

I don't know what to do now to find the problem ?

I would like to say that I have another R610 with the same configuration and everything is fine.

Thanks

Check your server hardware health, and memory first.

install the dell customized version of esxi 3.5. This will allow you to view all the open manager information about the host.

It sounds like the watchdog is rebooting.

Could you please upload the logs?

Also, have you installed the Dell customised version of esxi 3.5?

The problem was the power supply.

Thank you all.
