Why are vmnic0 and vmnic1 disconnected on a new host but connected on two original hosts?

Hi all Smiley Happy

We have an IBM Blade S with a couple of blades.

I have just added a new one and in the hosts console it shows vmnic0 and 1 as disconnected but on the other two hosts they are connected and are the ones selected.

Seems to me I would want to select the same NICs for the new host as the other two are using otherwise they won't be on the management network properly

Appreciate help with this

Thanks

Tracy

hmmm... not sure. It is an HS23 which is the replacement for the earlier HS22 which is what our existing ones are so it SHOULD be the same

By my point of view is the way the two different servers threat their pNICs.

try speking whith server vendor after having a look at this https://communities.vmware.com/thread/428459
