Where is datastore history in the performance monitor is vsphere?

ESXi 4.1

When I go to the performance monitor in vsphere and choose datastore as the source of the graph\statistics, I only see realtime and don't see "Past hour", "Past Day", "Past Week", etc...  When I click on any of the other stats like Memory, cpu, and network I see the historical options.  Is there a reason for this?  I have googled around and checked the settings but didn't find anything.  Thanks!

Are you sure you mean datastore and not disk Smiley Wink ?

Only if you connect to vCenter you can get historical data on ESXi hosts. Connecting directly to the ESXi show only real-time data!

Thanks for the reply.  Yes I'm talking about the datastore in the performance monitor in vCenter.  Here's a screen shot.  I would like to see my IO profile over days, weeks and months to see when our busiest IO is per volume\datastore.

Is there an easier way to get the info via powercli or some other way?  Thanks!
