Hi,
I was looking at the evaluation of vShield 4.1 but I see an upgrade bundle in the download list. Also I found a vShield Manager 4.1 U1 download but I do not see the related vShield appliance.
I tested in the past the 1.0 and there were a manager and the actual firewall vShield appliance.
Someone could explain how get all the needed components to get started within the vShield Zones 4.1 ?
Thanks
Fabio D'Alfonso
The ova for the evaulation download I was looking at included the below
This Open Virtualization Archive (OVA) file includes vShield Manager, vShield Edge, vShield App and vShield Endpoint. vShield App, Endpoint, and Edge components are managed by vShield Manager. The minimum requirement for vShield products are vSphere 4.0 U1 (Essentials Plus and above), vCenter 4.0 and vSphere Client 4.1. Only vShield Endpoint requires vSphere 4.1.

Hi,
thanks for the reply.
I found a vShield Manager 4.1 Update 1. I didn't find the link to download the related vShield firewall appliance.
Do you have a link on VMware?
Thanks

Hi,
that was the ova I downloaded also before.
I do not see any reference to the vShield Zones.
That was previously a bundle of two appliances: the manager and the actual firewall appliance.
The list in :

does not include any reference to the component which represent the vShield >Zones< license level in combination with the vShield manager.
Had a chance to check at this?
I deployed now the ova on a test (Vmware Workstation) esx and have no way to get the firewall appliance.
Thanks

Look under support and downloads, VMware vSphere, and scroll down to the advanced section.

I too can not find the client as I need to manually install a vShield Zones to a vDS. When I deploy the only ova that I can download, it says vShield Manager and there is no choice for just the client. So I can use a little help finding the right thing too.
Thanks,
Robert
