Hello,
I am using Winscp. How do I copy a vm from one esxi host to another?
I can't seem to do this using Winscp. Is there a better util that would allow me to do this?
Thank you in advance,
WinSCP should worki just fine. Make sure you have SSH enabled on the ESXi host. It will be a two step process host to local and local to host. I would also have a look at Veeam Fastscp which will to a direct host to host copy. http://www.veeam.com/vmware-esxi-fastscp.html
Hi,
follow a great kb about "Moving or Copying Virtual Disks in a VMware Environment"
Too exist VDR (VMware Data Recovery) to do backup of virtual machines but require license. http://www.vmware.com/products/data-recovery/features.html
Please, don't forget the awarding points for "helpful" and/or "correct" answers.

Is this copying process for VM backup or 1 time only, if it's only a 1 time process to transfer VM from 1 ESXi host to another then you can also use VMware Standalone Converter.
