What is the difference between Vsphere standard licensed & Free version

Hi All,

We have got VMware vSphere 6 Standard Paid license product & i am using free version of VMware vSphere 6 on other servers. After installing i couldn't find out any difference in between these paid & free version . Can anyone please help me in fidning  what are the differences between paid & free

I assume you already found Compare VMware vSphere Editions‌. Anyway, most of the features you get with the vSphere Standard (as well as most other paid licenses) are only usable in combination with multiple hosts - managed by vCenter Server - as well as shared storage. Without this, a main difference is the unlocked API (with any of the paid licenses) which allows using e.g. commercial backup applications for VM based backups.
