Normally it's ok I already use vmware workstation and hyper-v on this laptop. The hardware checking is ok. But then choice of disk install, i see my live usb key but not my harddrive. Same with fdisk -l

I tested 3 hard disks.

The last is a Hitachi SATA 3gb/s.

Bare metal installation on a laptop is really tough , ESXI need 4 GB to operate and 8 GB memory to fully functional.

apparently here the issue is the sata controller on your laptop is not compatible with esxi build .   do you still need to install ESXI on your laptop ?

If yes , try with injecting the driver to ESXI .https://tinkertry.com/use-esxi-customizer-gui-to-inject-multiple-driver-vibs-into-your-esxi-installe...
