I use P2V to convert a running Windows 2012 server to and selected WKS8.0 type but when I try to add this to the VM inventory, the error as per below ...
Failed to start the virtual machine.
Module DevicePowerOn power on failed.
Unable to create virtual SCSI device for scsi0:0, '/vmfs/volumes/50a3cbe0-88e354e0-238c-782bcb4f9430/ABCSERVER/ABCSERVER.vmdk'
Failed to open disk scsi0:0: Unsupported or invalid disk type 7.
Ensure that the disk has been imported.

As my datastore only left for around 68GB, would the zerodthink command ended up will consume all the space (as the provision size is around 800GB ... )
BTW, I upload the .vmdk on 2015-02-23 and after I add the uploaded .vmx to the inventory and start it up, it seems dupliated to a new .vmdk (2015-2-24) and rename the old one to *-S001.vmdk ... ?!
