What are the best tools I can use to monitor this environment for best results.

I'am now working in an environment that runs Esxi 5.1 with 48 host, 700 vm's and recently acquired my VCP5 Cert. I am quite new to Visualization and did not really use the technology before acquiring cert . What are the best tools and versions :Vsphere Client\Vshere web  I can use to monitor this environment for best results. Sorry if this sounds silly.

There are several tools available from VMware as well as 3rd party vendors. Did you already take a look at e.g. vCenter Operations Manager to see whether this meets your requirements
