I recently picked up a Dell T320 sever with a Perc H310 RAID controller and 2 2TB SATA drivers in a RAID 1 array. I primarily use this for testing and development purposes (replacing an old Dell PowerEdge 2900). I got it with ESXi 6.0 installed on a solid state boot partition. I booted it up for the first time and it all appears to be fine, but the 2 SATA drives have been showing a warning "Parity Check in Progress - Assert" in the vSphere Client for nearly 24 hours now and the activity lights on the drives have been flickering the entire time. I'm wondering if anyone knows if 1) is this normal on a new array and 2) how long should this take? I'm nervous about moving my VMs over to this new box until I know for sure the datastore is ok.
