Vsphere template not updating?

I am running into an odd issue where I have a VM template and I have been converting it back to VM, made some changes then converting it back to template.  To my surprise, the newly deployed VM from the template doesn't seem to have the new changes applied.

Have anyone else seen this?  This is in vSphere 5.5.

What kind of change do you have done on template ?

I just changed the network interface (removed one) and change the network profile name then convert it back to template.  I can try installing a package to see if it is something strictly with interface/network.
