We've been having memory alerts (false positives) since moving our VMs to vsphere. We have Proliant DL380 G6 servers with Intel Xeon E5540 processors. Doing some research it looks like there is a possible patch for this ESX400-200909401-BG (http://kb.vmware.com/selfservice/microsites/search.do?language=en_US&cmd=displayKC&externalId=1014019)
My question is does any know if this patch is included in Update 1. I checked the release notes (http://www.vmware.com/support/vsphere4/doc/vsp_esx40_u1_rel_notes.html), but I couldn't find any sign of this patch.
Thanks in advance.
The nehalem correct memory usage fix is included in the 193498 release.
See the release notes.
Patches are cumulative they include all previous fixes in later patches.
