Vsphere 5.1 And Windows 2008 R2, Define a disk grater than 2TB

The iscasi volume on Equalogic is  6TB,  so i want to give the whole 6TB

On Windows 2008 R2, have defined disk GPT  but   Vsphere  does not let me  write more than 2TB,  how can i do it, thanks

You have two options -

  1. Access the data as an Raw Device Mapping (RDM)
  2. Use the Microsoft iSCSI software drivers and access the LUN directly from the VM

i see the option RDM grey out, is because i use Vsphere instead of Vcenter ?   

We 've purchased VMware vCenter Server 5 Essentials for vSphere  (Have the license key but don't find where to download it)

We need it for the RDM right ?

You should provide 6TB disk  access to all ESX/ESXi in the vcenter cluster and rescan the storage in all ESX servers.

No you do not need vCenter to create an RDM - as the other poster make sure the 6 TB is presented to all hosts -
