Vmware hp GEN10 SSD/HDD not dectected

Hello folks,

I have purshace a gen10 and would like to install vmware (any version) on it.

I tryed to put the custom hp image for vmware on an usb but my ssd or hdd are not detected, so i install the OS on the usb key but vmware still doesn't detect any disk.

I also installed the boot iso directly on the ssd but it won't boot up on it

i was checking to create a custom image but i am lost in the settings and didn't find any tutotrial on it

Welcome to the Community,

are the SSDs, and HDDs connected to a RAID controller? Did you already configure the RAID, and the logical volumes?

Btw. HPE released an updated v6.5U1 OEM image today (see Download VMware vSphere).

Hi,

Recreate the RAID from the post screen try installing the HP customize image then.

Connect to the server using HP iLO and mount the .iso image that way. This is typically the easiest way of doing it.

Thanks for yours answers i will try the image and check the raid  by the way there no ilo on the gen10 .
