Vmware Tools for FreeBSD using Server 5

Hi,

we run VMware Server 5 and I've installed a FreeBSD 8.2 64bit RELEASE guest on the system.

I am trying to locate the VMware tools installer for the OS but I can't find it anywhere.

The vmware-tools cd that mounts is only for Linux and not *BSD.

I have Google'd like crazy but couldn't find anywhere to download the FreeBSD edition.

Could anyone point me in the right direction?

Thanks

Do you have the Guest Operating Systems/Version under Edit Settings->Options Tab->General Options set to FreeBSD? If not, that may be why you are getting the wrong VMware Tools.

Thanks that was it!

The system was wrongly provisioned as "Linux Other" for some reason......
