Vmware ESXi and Virtual Hosts CPU access

Does the free version of Vmware ESXi limit access to the physical CPUs on the Virtual Hosts?

You'll be able to run up to the config maximum (see the config documents link on the page). http://www.vmware.com/products/vsphere/buy/editions_comparison.html . The free edition and others are limited to 6 CPU cores per CPU and 256 GB of memory.

Do you have a system or PCI card working with VMDirectPath? Submit your specs to the Unofficial VMDirectPath HCL - http://www.vm-help.com/forum/viewforum.php?f=21.

Hi Dave,

So using ESXi

if I had a 4 processor with Dual Core on each processor with 8G of memory.

So this means that each virtual hosts can utilize each of 4 physical CPU's dual Core however limited to 256 Memory out of the 8G memory.
