Vmotion fails between AMD opteron 23xx and 61xx

Hi Guys,

We're unable to vmotion between two different CPU. I'm getting the error message below:

I went to KB 1992 and 1993 which I tried to follow it on a test virtual machine but failed. Can anyone provide me with a screen shot on how should the AMD Override values would look like to correct this problem? Thanks.

Is this an EVC enabled cluster?

Just an update on this issue.....

The masking indicated in http://kb.vmware.com/selfservice/microsites/search.do?language=en_US&cmd=displayKC&externalId=102095...

works fine. However, I did notice that the title of the said KB mentioned about vMotion without EVC. This prompted me to check our cluster and it so happen that EVC is not enabled. Anyways, after switching to EVC mode for Opteron 3rd gen, the issue didn't occur anymore.
