Vmotion Error

Hi,

When i put the ESX box maintenance mode, only first 2 vms will migrate, then other servers shows the below error

"General system error occoured; Internal error"

if i tried to migrate manually, it will be successful and some times through the the error "A general system error occurred: Algorithm returned bad status"

Other details

ESX 4.0 - update 4

VC 4.0 - update 1

I check VM's vmware.log and also hostd.log, it has entry of successful migration, but not the failed entry, anywhere else we can check the failed event?

if problem is intermitent it very difficult to pin point the problem

-  I think the best practice to vMotion the VM's manually or 4 VM together if you have vCenter 4.0 to be safe side

- I won't prefer to put hosts in Maintenance mode while VM are running
