I 'am planning to build an ESX4.0.1 cluster with two HP DL380G5 and one IBM HS12 Blade. The CPUID generates the data listed below, are they compatible with VMotion by VirtualCenter (last version).

Thanks in advance.
yes they are compatible but in order for those processors to support migration you need to enable EVC - Enhanced VMotion Compatibility - in your cluster
they support 2 types of EVC
Intel® Xeon® Core™2
Intel® Xeon® 45nm Core™2
Intel® Xeon® Core™2 Applies baseline feature set of Intel® Xeon® Core™2 (Merom)processors to all hosts in the cluster. | Intel® Xeon® 45nm Core™2 Applies baseline feature set of Intel® Xeon® 45nm Core™2 (Penryn)processors to all hosts in the cluster. Compared to the Intel® Xeon® Core™2 EVC mode, this EVC mode exposes additionalCPU features including SSE4.1 |
