Try to left only one network card on the converter vm and select the correct portgroup that matches with your ip address

I am trying to convert a Linux ( RHES 5) server. And it fails. I am getting the above error  on the console of the VMhelper server.

This is exactly what I ran into with my Linux P2V which failed at 1%.  Did you figure out the reason?

When it happens, have you checked if networkncard os connected?

Which converter version are you using?

The source Linux servers has 8 NICs and we use 1-3 and 5-7 for 3 teamed vLANS, leaving 4 and 8 unused.  As it turned out, eth0 picked up the MAC of the 4th NIC and since it's not connected (in the Options section), it goes no where.  We assigned the proper vLAN in VC and check the connect box at logon and it worked.

So the question is how should the Network section be configured in the converter wizard? In our scenario, we only connect 6 and assigned a pair to each of the vLANs.  Should we just use 4 instead since there are only 3 bonded NICs?

We are using converter 5.5.1.
