Hi Community
when i upgraded my physical servers i was told that virtuelise the vCenter server was recommend by Vmware.
so that we did, but ever since i think when i log on to my vCenter with the RDP-sessions, the server was slooooow..
then i looked furher into it, and it uses 97-99% of CPU and 99% of memory, i have dedicated 8GB memory, 2 CPU.
i have my SQL DB on the same server running as a SQL Express 2014. the windows server is fulled updated and so are the vCenter.
after some google time i found this post, but dont relate to 6.0.
Kayser's Tech Notes: VMware VirtualCenter Server - high memory utilization in Java
and the KB article i found from VMware are broken 😕
so are anyone else having issues with their as well`?
i found the course.
it was VEEAM which did not delete the temporay snapshot from the virtual machine, i deleted the snapshots, and my VM did get from 400GB to 180GB
and CPU fell to 40-60% and memory to 80%
check the minimum CPU/memory requirements for vCenter version 6.
Also as the DB is also on the same machine you will need more resources.
It also depends on other factors like the size of inventory etc

hmm, my isnt a appliance, but installed on a Windows server 2012 r2
vSphere 6.0 Documentation Center
i have 5 ESXi hosts and 55 virtual server and clients.
do 2 CPU and 8 GB should be enough...
Yes, that is enough.
It could be other process using high value of resources, check using task manager.
i found the course.
