Virtual machines dropping packets intermittently

Hi,

I have a number of VM's running on a mix of ESX & ESXi hosts version 4.0  that keep dropping packets intermittently.

Has anyone come across this before? I can resolve this issue on a temp basis by rebooting the host but it reappears again after 4-5 weeks.

Should I upgrade to 4.1? Any other solutions would be appeciated.

I am using Update Manager & my hosts are fully updated. How can I check if this patch is installed?
