Virtual machine on host is powered off

I am having an issue with my windows 2003 server machine powering off at random times. I am not sure what is causing this to happen. This is the third machine I have provisioned and the only one of the three (the other two are windows 2012 servers) that is having the issue. Any suggestions would be appreciated.

Have you checked the windows event logs?

Thanks, i guess this was an instance of just needing someone to smack me upside the back of the head and say duh. It was not a vmware issue at all. I am running the 2003 sbs install but did not install the sbs pieces. Apparently microsoft didn't want people to do that. Thanks again.

Please check if it is powering off or going to sleep/suspend state.

Unless there is a task on the host or the guest the VM should not power off.
