Virtual machine keeps re-creating virtual disks

I've got a virtual machine running as a VCB proxy server for arcserve r15 backup running on iSCSI. the system has three hard drives, today I noticed I had a significantly low amount of space on my datastore that these drives are pulling from. It looks like there are three copies of each Virtual disk in the datastore, taking up all of my space. Why are they there? I need to get this machine to only have one copy of each virtual drive.

Maybe you mean that your have several active snapshot?

Check in the VM shapshot and delete them.

Could you please attach a screen shot or list of the files you see in the datastore showing full names, sizes and time stamps!? In addition to this please attach the latest vmware.log file to your next post.

Okay, so I had a extremely large snapshot taking up all my space. After I deleted it the spce came back, I do have a queston now though. I have thick partioned virtual disks that take up about 90% of my SANs storage array, I also want to run VM level backups through Arcserve r15 using VDDK. Will I use up all of my remaining space and get this error everytime I try to run a backup of my VM's?

During the backup operation a snapshot is required, but then is removed.

IMHO 10% is not too much, but can work.
