Virtual Server QuadCore

4 CPU  2,4GHz Intel Xeon

(1 processor socket)

(4 core x socket)

(4 logical processor)

Grazie

Daniele

Please see http://kb.vmware.com/kb/1010184 for details

You'd basically configure 4 vCPUS in the GUI and then set "cpuid.coresPerSocket" to 4.

Setting "cpuid.coresPerSocket" to 4 will divide the configured number of vCPUs, which will result in a single virtual quad-core CPU that's presented to the guest OS. This does not necessarily mean it is ok with the guest's EULA (depends on the vendor), but at least this is how it works from a technical point of view.
