Hi
I have just upgraded our UAT environment to Vsphere4 and thought it would be a good opportunity to sort out the roles and privileges correctly.
The problem i am having is assigning access to users to allow them to change network connection (Network label) and add new network adapters with the VM image all other options are fine. I have assigned the development group roles as follows:
Datacenter level : Read only (no propagation)
ESX Host: Read Only (no propagation)
Folder level : Virtual Machine Power User (this propagates to the VM's below)
Now i have tried editing the Virtual Machine Power User role with the "Network" privilege, still no joy and changed the ready only access at the ESX host level with the "Network" privilege and this still doesn't work!!
The last thing i tried was to give the group Administrator role, still didn't work!! I have looked to see if a role is being denied above but it doesn't seem to be the case.
Can anyone help me out on this?????
