Here is a step by step guide How to Deploy vCenter 8.0 (vmcloud.pl)
Follow the guide and you should not encounter any issues.
Do not deploy vCenter 8.0 on ESXi 8.0 when free license is applied. Leave ESXi 8.0 in Evaluation Mode.
