Hi,
When i open a console of a VMware server (Win 2003 32-bit) i get the attached black console.
When i do RDP to this server also i get the same console. I changed the colour display options and even then i get the same display.
This Virtual server is hosted on ESX 3.5i and i have migrated to anotehr ESX host but the problem remains same.
Any idea how to solve this?
see the blog below. We ran into this the other day because a guest ran of of C: Drive space. However, changing the registry entries remotely didn't work. Somehow, i believe by hitting a combination of keys when using the VMware Console, and a user who had never logged in, we got the screen to load. I believe it was <alt> <tab> or <ctrl> <tab>. But either way, you shoud check the registery for the colors.

Perfect, The C: was out of space and we cleared it and we are able to login perfectly now.
Many thanks for the link
