Here are many ways to install the driver in your host, and my recommended way is using Update Manager if you have many hosts: VMware KB: Installing async drivers on VMware ESXi 5.x and ESXi 6.0.x

And about VMware Tools, the recommendation is always keep them updated, but not sure if your problem is related to VMware Tools... try first upgrade the Emulex driver.

Your issue looks similar with the issue documented here: VMware KB: ESXi 5.5 host fails with purple diagnostic screen error: #DE Exception 0 elxnet_queuedPkt...

This way, my recommendation is install the latest version of your Emulex NIC driver, since the messages on your PSOD is point to a problem with this driver.
