    Hello,

since i have executed the attached script in the VMware View Optimization Guide for Windows 7 on my Virtual Desktops e.g Internet Explorer and Adobe Reader wont start. There is always an error message which tells sth. like you have trying to access an invalid adress.

Has anybody an idea which setting in the batch is causing this issue and how to fix it? Same is happening to Adobe Reader which i tried to start the first time after installation.

    Best Regards

    Adrian

You should customize some lines in the script before executing. Any way, if you want to optimize your virtual machine, use VMware OS Optimization Tool instead of the script: VMware OS Optimization Tool – VMware Labs

Please share your script and also if possible, share the error with English interface.

    hi,

i attached the script but in the meanwhile i found the issue:

rem Disable Address space layout randomization
    reg ADD "HKLM\System\CurrentControlSet\Control\Session Manager\Memory Management" /v MoveImages /t REG_DWORD /d 0x0 /f

After removing this entry in the registry and a reboot the issue was fixed.

    Best Regards and Thank You
