VMware Tools ISO image does not exist or is inaccessible

Hi,

I am running ESXi as a trial on my NUC. When I try to install VMWare Tools to my Windows 2012 r2 server it says image does not exist or is inaccessible. I'm not sure why the tools can't install. I have looked at the file system and all the symbolic link paths. The tools aren't there. How can I install them and where should they go?

Actually, the ESXi image that you have installed was a no-tools image, so you can reinstall ESXi with another image or follow the below instruction for install VMware Tools manually:

To download the VMware tools packages for various ESX/ESXi manually, see VMware Operating System Specific Packages.

To download the VMware Tools ISO image:

1. Navigate to the link http://packages.vmware.com/tools/esx/index.html.
2. Click the link for your version of ESX/ESXi.
3. Click the link for your version of guest operating system.
4. Download the VMware Tools ISO image and attach it to the CD of the virtual machine.

Thanks for the reply. I have download ISO Build 5969303 and remade my host. The tools are there now.
