Guys, it is possible to increase the size of the virtual disk that is already being used by a virtual machine?

Yes and No.

Yes you can increase the space of the virtual disk, but it depends on the OS if you can do it WHILE the VM is running... you not only have to increase the VMDK, you also have to increase that OS FS as well.. Windows 2008 lets you do it while running, Windows 2003 will not (at least for the boot disk)

You can do Windows 2003 system disks online, but you need this little gem of a tool - EXTPART;

Yes, as the guys have already said this is possible but is a two part process. First increases the size of the virtual disk an then extend this in the operating system ... To save retyping this, see instructions I posted on a previous thread;
