VMware ESXi 5.0 server certification - processor compatibilty

Hi,

We are planning to do VMware ESXi 5.0 server certification on one of our blades which has a single Intel Xeon Core i7 620LE processor.

When I searched at vmware compatibilty analysis site, I couldnot find core i7 in the supported list of CPU series however this processor is in the list that supports enhanced vMotion mode.

I would like to know whether we can run server certification tests on this blade and proceed for the VMware Ready certification.

Please clarify.

It's usually easier to see if the blade make/model is on the HCL than a specific processor. Still, putting in "i7 620e" within the search field brought up MANY servers. A good number of them list the i7 Xeon processor as being compatible. Not sure if the specific one YOU have is on that list, but from what I could find on it (on ark.intel.com), it could work.
