VMware-ClientIntegrationPlugin-6.0.0.mac64.dmg on OS X 10.9?

Does VMware-ClientIntegrationPlugin-6.0.0.mac64.dmg not work on OS X 10.9?  I installed it, but the browser still showed the 5.5 plugin installed.  Then manually removed the 5.5 plugin and ran the installer again, but it did not add to the Internet Plug-Ins folder, nor does the plugin show in browsers.

Thanks!

- John

Hi,

What is your browser version?

I've tried with both Firefox and Safari, latest versions.

As stated, the plug-in is not installed in the Internet Plug-Ins directory after running the installer, which is where the 5.5 plugin previously was.

Do you have the 6.0 plugin running on OS X 10.9?

It installs a VMware Client Integration Plug-in application in the Applications folder, but an internet plug-in is not installed, and no browsers can see the plug-in.

So does that mean it just plain doesn't work?  Or do I need to move it to the Internet Plug-Ins directory?  Have you had any luck with it?

Has anyone managed to get this to work?  I have tried it on multiple versions of OSX using both Chrome and and Firefox and nothing works.

I am also having this issue and would love to find out what we can do to resolve this issue.  Thank you.

I found the answer here Re: Can't upload OVA to vCenter (Web)

RESOLUTION:

After installing the latest 'OSX Client Integration Plugin' follow these steps:

http://vsphereclient.vmware.com/vsphereclient/2/9/9/4/0/4/1/VMware-ClientIntegrationPlugin-6.0.0.mac...

(exit all browsers)

sudo mkdir -p /build/toolchain/mac32/openssl-1.0.1p/lib/

cd "/Applications/VMware Client Integration Plug-in.app/Contents/Library"

sudo cp ./lib/libssl.1.0.1.dylib /build/toolchain/mac32/openssl-1.0.1p/lib/

sudo cp ./lib/libcrypto.1.0.1.dylib /build/toolchain/mac32/openssl-1.0.1p/lib/

sudo ./vmware-csd-installer --install

./vmware-csd
