VMware BSOD

I've got a customer who periodically comes in and their server has what is the equivalent of a blue screen on their server. It's a purple screen with a bunch of dump information on it and I'm not sure how to interrupt this or to how to correct the problem. I've attached a picture of it and any help to solve this is greatly appreciated.

Thanks for the reply. The article looks promising to fix my issue. I'm confused as to how to update VMWare though. The article says to use VMWare update manager to patch the software. I'm just not sure how exactly do to this. Is this a windows related software the accesses the host or is this in the vsphere software?

If you do not have Update Manager (you can search Vmware site to learn what it is), please read the below article on how to manually update ESXi.

You can also replace the E1000 network adapter driver with VMXNET3 on the VMs as stated in the above article to correct the PSOD

Yes, Update manager is installed on a windows server. You can install Update Manager on the same computer on which vCenter Server is installed or on a different computer.

Thanks guys... One last quick question.. Is it okay to install the update manager on one of my VM's or should this be done from a PC that isn't a guest of the host?

Yes, It can be installed on Virtual machine.
