VMware 6.0 - Nvidia Pass-through Issue

After adding a Nvidia Tesla K40M PCI pass-through device into a Guest OS, the Guest OS failed to start.

Here is the related message in the vmware.log.

vmx| I120: PCIPassthru: total number of pages needed (4206592) exceeds limit (917504), failing

Is there a way to increase the total number of pages?  Or it'd better to use physical instead of virtualized?

Hello,

can you try adding an option

pciHole.start = 2048

to your VM's Configuration Parameters?

Hi. I'm having exactly the same issue. I have Tesla K40m trying to pass through to a vm. Did you get a resolution?

Thanks

VMware Engineer replied that the Tesla K40m is not in the supported list of graphics card in VMware. They don't have an option to modify the page limit.  At last, we gave up using VMware solution in that server.
