VMs (Guest OS) FLOGIs into SAN Fabric

I have an ESXI server connected to a Fibre Channel over Ethernet switch in NPV mode.

Let's talk about the series of events that occurs...

The native Fibre Channel port on the NPV-enabled switch logs into the fabric and receives an FCID.

The HBA component of the server's CNA sends a FLOGI, which is converted to an FDISC by the NPV-enabled switch and sent to the fabric. The fabric returns an FCID for the server's CNA.

Does it end there OR does each VM then send a FLOGI, which then gets converted to an FDISC -- and do they then receive an FCID accordingly?

Cant seem to find a single article anywhere about this.

I don't think each VM send a FLOGI, unless you're using NPIV on VM side... but far as I know, NPIV on ESXi host only support native FC HBA: Re: NPIV support for fcoe?
