http://kb.vmware.com/kb/2012455 might offer some insight. What kind of card is vmnic10:2:0, and do you have the latest firmware listed on the HCL for the card?

HP actually replaced the NetXen hp nc522sfp with a version that they are saying is not affected by the kb article you listed.

Below is the current versions we are using:

~ # ethtool -i vmnic8
driver: nx_nic
version: 5.0.601
firmware-version: 4.0.579
bus-info: 0000:0e:00.0

HP doesnt have the latest driver available to download yet which I believe is 5.0.626. I see vmware does but HP is saying the 5.0.626 driver hasnt been tested by them yet.

The HCL listing for that card is all over the place, but it looks to me like there are newer versions of firmware and the driver available.

http://www.vmware.com/resources/compatibility/detail.php?deviceCategory=io&productid=10178&deviceCat...

I would open a SR with VMware for this and let them explain it.
