VMWare DRS

We have vSphere 4.1 Advanced. When I am creating the cluster for HA, I also notice the DRS feature. The DRS feature is not grayed out. Should it be grayed since it is not available in the Advanced version, or does it let you select it but it does not function since it is not licensed?

Hello.

Interesting - I bet that if you select DRS and then click OK you will get a licensing error popup. Have you (or can you) try it and see?

Good Luck!

I tried it and I got a license error message. It did let me create a DRS cluster with no hosts in it. So vCenter must let you create the DRS cluster, but the license is controlled by the host.
