I have an ISO build of an XP machine img created from Microsoft Deployment tools. I need to get this ISO into an ESX virtual machine based on xp. I tried creating a vhd then used VM Converter to try to import but converter stays at 1% complete - with no error messages or progress reporting. I also tried starting the VM with the ISO, but it doesn't boot and goes directly to the network boot. The VM boots from a standard xp build ISO so the BIOS setting s are not the problem. I also tried creating a xp native image VM, then tried to push the MS deployment build to the XP VM but was unsuccessful.
Can someone go through the exact steps to getting this ISO imported into a VM?
