How can i start snmp service in esx server and add community string in that base server for access particular window server to handle server monitiring.

To configure the service edit the /etc/snmp/snmpd.conf file

Add something like this:

trapsink 192.168.0.99 public

(use the right IP and the right community).

To restart the service:

/etc/init.d/snmp restart
