VMKD OR RDM

I have a guest OS which is Linux, and I have give VMDK and RDM to the guest.

On OS level. How can I identify which /dev/sd* is a VMDK or RDM.????

Hi -- If linux OS -- cat /proc/scsi/scsi and observe the difference

VMDK - will be shown as vendor: VMWare

where as the RDM will have Vendor as the Array type like EMC , NetApp, etc.

1. The First Hard Disk Drive connected to Linux Virtual Machine will be addressed as    /dev/sda

2. The Second Hard Disk Drive ( can be a vmdk or RDM ) connected to Linux Virtual Machine will be addressed as   /dev/sdb
