VMFS datastore inaccessible after FC SAN issue

I am currently trying to recover critical VMs which were stored on my FC array. The array went offline, and when the storage issue was resolved the datastore was no longer available. My ESXi host can see the LUN. I can also see the disk listed under /dev/disks. Running partedutil gives me this:

gpt

267349 255 63 4294967296

1 2048 4294967262 AA31E02A400F11DB9590000C2911D1B8 vmfs 0

Any assistance is greatly appreciated.

Lets check if the vmfs-metadata still exists :
cd /dev/disks
hexdump -n $((0x70000000)) -C <device> | grep "0000  " > /tmp/vmfs-fingerprint.txt

I assume you already tried all the tips that assume a resignature might help ?

Resignature might help but should be somewhat last cause of actions as you have to re-import all your VMs again.

I guess the system is not somewhat critical as I suspect that you would have talked to your SAN provider or VMWare locally so perhaps testing re-signature might be ok.
