VMDirectPath

Hi I was wondering if the Poweredge 1800 supports VMDirectPath?

PE 1800 doesn't support vt-d and i guess it's not supported system for ESX 4.0. it PE 1950 onwards it suport

Check the Hardware Compatability guide for your server, the PE1850 supports ESX4 which has DirectPath functionality, it then comes down to the NIC of FC HBA as to whether this device is on the Directpath support list.

Check the BIOS to see if it shows a setting for VT-d. I don't think it has support for Vt-d and it may not have hardware virtualization either but check the BIOS. Also I would upgrade all the firmware just in case some things have been added.

I just looked at the date. VT-d wasn't available in chipsets until late 2007.
