VMDK file to ESX 4.0?

Please help me

How do I setup a vmdk file in ESX 4.0

I found this vmdk file at clearos

http://www.clearfoundation.com/Software/downloads

which is done and ready for ESX

In a document in the tar file they give reference on how to add it to a system

http://www.clearfoundation.com/docs/howtos/configuring_clearos_5.2_on_vmware

This I do not recognize this at allt
What is the manually step to add a vmdk files to a ESX 4
I do want to try this Clearos but I do not understand how I add it in to my ESX host that I have.
(I only have a singel host)
What is the correct path for setting up this?
Can I download it to my computer
Unpack it and then Use WINSCP to transfer it to my esx host and just do a folder to the VMFS
Call it clearos
And then what?
